Renee Wang Certified Chinese Translator
Dr. Renee Wang

Dr. Renee Wang is a professional Mandarin interpreter and Chinese translator specializing in legal, medical, and pharmaceutical fields. She has vast experience in conference interpreting, particularly for legal conferences, medical conferences, and FDA inspections.

She works extensively with law firms on deposition interpreting — with a strong focus on complex commercial and patent litigation involving agricultural, biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical products. Besides serving clients in the Washington DC metropolitan area, she also travels domestically and internationally to assist with interpreting at conferences and depositions. As a translator certified by the American Translators Association (ATA), she can provide certified document translations and audio/video transcripts.

Dr. Wang was a neuroscientist by training. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Peking University in China, and her Ph.D. in Neurobiology from University of Louisville in the U.S. She continues to be actively involved in the biomedical and biopharmaceutical fields, and have regular interactions with professionals in the academia, clinical medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry. Her solid scientific background and years of experience as a researcher and a peer reviewer for SCI journals give her a strong edge in highly technical domains such as scientific writing, medical writing, pharmaceutical writing, FDA inspection interpretation, and patent litigation interpretation. She is our chief translator in the sector of life science manuscript translation.

Dr. Wang has acquired strong credentials in translation and interpretation. She is court certified for Mandarin court interpretation, and ATA certified for document translation (English to Chinese and Chinese to English, respectively).

Our Team

A combination of the following three criteria is a must when we hire translators or interpreters:

1. Translation and interpretation credentials

Our English to Chinese translations are all handled by ATA-certified English to Chinese translators.

Our Chinese to English translations are all handled by ATA-certified Chinese to English translators.

Our Mandarin court and deposition interpreters are court certified in Mandarin interpreting. They are usually also ATA certified.

2. Domain knowledge

Our legal translators possess the above translation credentials and at the same time are court certified interpreters. This ensures that they have great attention to detail and strong vocabulary in legal terminology.

Our biomedical and life science translators have advanced degrees in biomedical sciences, such as biochemistry, neuroscience, public health, and clinical medicine.

Our medical conference interpreters and FDA inspection interpreters hold strong interpretation credentials as well as advanced degrees in biomedical or pharmaceutical sciences.

3. Professionalism and ethical conduct

We hold ourselves to stringent ethical standards. Our translators and interpreters greatly value life-long learning and actively participate in continuing education activities, not only in linguistic skills, but also in ethics.
