Chinese Pharmaceutical Translation Services

English Chinese pharmaceutical translation services
Premier Chinese Pharmaceutical Translation Services

We provide regulatory agencies and industries with Chinese pharmaceutical translation services. The documents we translate include:

  • Product inserts
  • Drug application dossiers
  • Study protocols
  • Study reports
  • FDA regulations and guidelines

Our translators have strong backgrounds in life sciences and drug development, actively participate in training on drug development and drug regulations-related topics, and/or are American Translators Association (ATA) certified.

We translate in both directions: Chinese to English, and English to Chinese.

Our credentials: Chinese pharmaceutical translation services

For English to Chinese translation services, we work with ATA-certified translators only.

For Chinese to English translation services, since there are currently no ATA-certified Chinese to English translators, we work with translators who have a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, have demonstrated strong skills in Chinese to English translation, and/or are native English speakers.

We provide both certified and non-certified copies of pharmaceutical translations.

Certified Chinese pharmaceutical translations

For certified translations, we assign two translators to work on the same documents: one acts as a translator and the other as a proofreader.

We use a three-step process for quality control in certified translations.

  • Step 1: Translator #1 translates the documents and reviews his/her own work;
  • Step 2: Translator #2 proofreads the translations, and then returns tracked changes to Translator #1; and
  • Step 3: Translator #1 reviews the edited version and consults with Translator #2 about the changes if necessary. If discrepancies persist between the two translators, the team will consult with Translators #3 and #4 before finalizing the translations.

Upon client’s request, we can provide a Certification of Accuracy letter (with a minimum fee for the preparation of the letter).

Non-certified Chinese pharmaceutical translations

A less expensive option is our uncertified translation services. We assign only one Chinese translator to work on your documents. The translator will check his or her own work, but there will not be a second translator as a proofreader.

  • Step 1 (the only step): Translator #1 translates the documents and reviews his/her own work.

Since we only consider the products of the 3-step process to be quality controlled, we do not provide certification for the work handled by a single translator.

Generally speaking, certified translations are more accurate than uncertified ones. Even the best translators can overlook their own errors, but a pair of fresh eyes helps discern the mistakes.

Need certified translations?  Plan early

If you need to have translations certified (for example, the documents need to be submitted to the embassy for authentication), please inform us upfront at the time of inquiry, so that we can provide a quote for certified translations.

Due to the extra steps involved, the turnaround is usually longer for certified translations. We encourage clients to plan early in order to allow translators enough time and to avoid rush fees.
